I think I would be a lot smarter if I didn’t keep learning the same things over and over again. A recent (and yet somehow eternally ongoing) remodeling project at home has put me back in the shop for some extended hours. What I re-learned is how much I like it. While my current task is much more cabinetmaking than “woodworking,” I am getting the same endorphic response. It is really cool to start with just an idea and have a substantial something at the end of the day.
I have learned (again) that just like it’s better to be in love than to talk about it, it is significantly better to be woodworking than to — in my case — write about it.
So my fellow e-woodworkers, this is my encouragement to you to hop up from your computer and get into your shop (after you check out all the cool stuff in this issue of your favorite woodworking eZine, of course!). Fire up your saw and make an idea into reality. Perhaps a gift … for someone you love.
