A coworker was getting married. She explained an apparent new tradition of nailing a bottle of wine into a box (in lieu of the traditional “unity candle”) to be opened on every 5 year anniversary, and after the contents have been drank, a new bottle positioned and lid nailed back on. Being a close friend, she asked if I would fashion said box. “It doesn’t have to be anything too fancy, in fact, there are pallets out back, maybe you could make something from that wood to save money.” Always loving the opportunity to “repurpose”, the following is what became of the pallets (I also had some scrap Honduran Mahogany scraps from an old broken futon).
