Since some tools are best sharpened with the stone running toward the edge, and others with the stone running away from the edge, Tormek has introduced the Rotating Base RB-180, which allows you to rotate your Tormek sharpening machine 180 degrees to select the ideal sharpening direction, or to switch from sharpening to honing. The RB-180 has rubber feet to keep it steady during sharpening and absorb vibration. It automatically locks into position. The platform is designed within a frame, manufactured as thin as possible so as not to affect working height. The RB-180 will fit the Tormek T-7 and T-3, the 2000 and 1200 Series, and ht eSA-250 and N-1500. The manufacturer’s recommended price is $55.
