I used Cherry throughout and enlarged the top to 33” x 22-1/2” to hold a large book. I slanted the top 20 degrees and added a stop at the bottom for easy reading. The legs are 33” high and 20” apart for stability. I finished the stand with a coat of Cherry stain then Rustoleum American Walnut/Watco Danish Oil Dark Walnut mix. Then a couple coats of Formby’s Tung Oil Finish and finished with two coats of Minwax Paste Finishing Wax.
