RYOBI’s TSS120L Sliding Compound Miter Saw with dual rails can crosscut workpieces up to 2 x 14-in. wide or a 4×6 post at 90 degrees. Swiveled to 45 degrees, it can also crosscut a 2×10, thanks the saw’s included 12-in.-diameter, carbide-tooth blade. Nine miter detents at 0, 15, 22.5, 31.6 and 45 degrees — both left and right — set the saw accurately to the most common crown molding angles. Or, unlock and tilt this saw left, and slide the fence clear for setting up bevel cuts. A heavy-duty 15-amp motor makes it easy to cut through larger or dense wood, and a 1-1/2-in. dust port can be connected to a shop vacuum or dust extractor to help keep the work area cleaner. Or, use the included dust bag. An electric brake stops the cutting action quickly. The TSS120L ($299) also comes with a pair of fixed table extensions to support longer workpieces, an adjustable Exactline laser for lining up cuts to the blade and a hold-down clamp.
