Now available online through Amazon and both online and in Home Depot and Lowe’s stores, RotoZip® has improved the performance of its variable-speed RotoSaw+ with the inclusion of a new integrated dust collection system: the Dust Vault™. When paired with the 6-amp cutting tool, Dust Vault will capture 90 percent more dust and debris than a comparable tool without the attachment, RotoZip reports.
Dust Vault consists of a lightweight plastic canister and pleated internal bag with quick-release tabs to easily remove and empty debris. It couples to the saw with a cam-lever adapter and housing assembly, and an internal fan draws dust into the canister using the RotoSaw+ motor as its power source. Homeowners, remodelers and renovators should appreciate the fact that the kit combines the versatility of a spiral saw without the need for a vacuum.
The RotoSaw+ with Dust Vault kit (item SS560VSC-31) comes with drywall and multipurpose ZipBits, 1/8- and 1/4-in. collets and a depth guide. It sells for $99.99. Starting June 1, the Dust Vault attachment will be available online for $29.99 — it’s compatible with other RotoZip tools, including RotoSaw, RZ1500 and RZ2000 models. Lowe’s will carry the Dust Vault attachment in stores beginning Aug. 1.
