Removing an Oil Stain

I am having trouble removing an oil stain from an old Hoosier cupboard. I think the wood is poplar or maple.

Kevin Hancock:Scrub it with VM&P naphtha, and sop up whatever comes up. If the stain comes back after a few days, cover it with fresh cat litter for a week and wash it again.
