I am primarily a woodturner, and I always have a great load of shavings. These never go to waste or the landfill, but rather end their life as mulch or walkway cover in the garden. They slowly compost and there is a never ending renewal of the top layers. If the build up on the path way gets too much the path is dug down to it original level and I start again.
