Is there any way to remove the musty odor from old 1890’s dresser drawers? The glue may have been made from animal hooves.
Michael Dresdner: Febreeze will help, as will sealing the drawers with a thin coat of Zinsser SealCoat. For the record, there are no glues made from animal hooves. Animal glue, or hide glue, is made from skin; hence the name hide glue. Hooves are essentially overgrown toenails.
