What are the advantages and disadvantages of a left-tilt table saw versus a right-tilt?
Mike Van Pelt: There is no advantage nor disadvantage to either the right-tilt or left-tilt. It is personal choice; whichever is most comfortable to the user is correct. The only advantage whatsoever to the left-tilt is when you are doing a narrow bevel rip. The blade would turn away from the fence and help prevent a pinching action. Of course, dealers may tout one or the other as best, depending on which they have more of in stock at the moment.
