This handy rack will keep your lathe tools stored super handy but out of the way. Use two or, if you have several tools, use four of the 18″ magnetic bars. You will need about 10 feet of 1 X 4. And last you will need some 1-1/4″ wood screws. Mount the magnetic bars end to end on one piece of 30″ 1 X 4. Remember to glue then screw. These will attach horizontally on the next step. Cut 2 pieces of 1 x 4 as vertical supports attached to the back of the horizontal pieces. I attached the whole system to my lathe table. It took about 2 hours. Works great and you can make yours look even better if you router the edges and countersink the screws and fill and sand with wood filler.
