Kreg is combining three new accessories — its Precision Router Table Fence, Table Top and Multi-purpose Shop Stand — to create an all-new Precision Router Table System.
At the heart of the package is Kreg’s Precision Router Table Fence. It features an anodized aluminum fence body with two independent sliding faces that can be opened or closed to accommodate a range of bit sizes. Unlike other fence mounting options, Kreg has created a T-square design with the fence mounting to the table’s infeed (right) edge. T-square styling enables the fence to be adjusted with one hand and enables it to remain parallel to the table’s miter slot, just like a table saw. A large paddle lock on the infeed side, and a quarter-turn lock on the outfeed end, sets the fence position securely. The fence includes a dust port for connection to a shop vac, plus a magnified scale and micro-adjuster to dial in precise measurements. Two rods, also included, can be inserted behind the outfeed fence facing for convenient edge-jointing operations.
The fence sits on Kreg’s new Precision Router Table Top. Measuring 24 x 32 in., its core is 1-in.-thick MDF to help dampen vibration and add mass. The top is surfaced with Kreg’s Easy-Slide™ high-pressure laminate, to help reduce workpiece drag during feeding. The Table Top is supported with steel struts underneath to keep it flat over time and when supporting a heavy router. A combination miter gauge/T-track along the front edge makes for easier miter gauge use or when installing featherboards and other accessories. The keyhole slot along the table’s left edge facilitates the fence’s quarter-turn fence lock.
The Precision Router Table Top comes with a 3/8-in. x 9-1/4-in. x 11-3/4-in. heavy-duty phenolic insert plate for hanging any router (you drill mounting holes, based on your router model), and the plate can be brought flush to the table top quickly and evenly with Kreg’s Precision Insert Plate Levelers. Three Level-Loc reducing rings with 1-, 1-3/16- and 2-5/8-in. diameter openings, twist in and out of the plate to adjust for different bit sizes.
Rounding out this system is Kreg’s Multi-purpose Shop Stand, which serves as an adjustable base. Made of 12- and 16-gauge steel with a powder-coated finish, the stand assembles easily. Height adjusters allow the four legs to extend from 29- to 35-in. long, so you can set the stand at a height that’s comfortable for you. Leveling feet accommodate rough or uneven shop floors.
