Infinity Cutting Tools now offers a line of 5/8- and 3/4-in.-wide Rip Blades for band saws, with several distinct advantages. According to Infinity, the carbon-manganese steel uniblade structure of these blades makes them twice as strong as other resaw blades. An advanced tempering method ensures a flawless weld that is structurally indistinct from the rest of the blade, resulting in smoother cuts and improved strength at the weld. The blades are also 40 percent thinner than standard band saw blades, at .022 in. thick, which means less material wasted to the saw kerf and easier cutting for lower-horsepower saw motors. A variable three or four tooth-per-inch pattern eliminates harmonic vibration that can cause wavered cuts as well as more sawing noise in general. The new Infinity Rip Blades are available in 72-1/2-in. up to 144-in. lengths. Prices range from $29.90 to $36.90. See all the options by clicking here.
