Hitachi has launched a new line of magnetic driver bits. Available in Phillips #2, Square #2 and Star T25, these bits have rare earth metal magnets stamped into an aluminum collar which is designed to allow enough movement for the magnet to sit flush against the head of the fastener, yet it will also retract to allow for countersinking. All the bits are two inches in length and come with 1/4″ hex shanks. The bits are sold in packs of two, with list pricing for the two-pack of #2 Square Bits,item 115004, at $10.99.
