I have turned a wine goblet from black walnut (seasoned 20 years). I plan to use HUTCrystal Coat on the exterior, but what should I use on the interior? – Victor Hank
Tim Inman: Wine. OK, so that was too easy. Walnut will need a finish to prevent bad bitter tastes from coming out of the wood. I’d use a clear food-grade epoxy or polyester. Actually, I’d use a crystal goblet for the wine, and sit where I can enjoy looking at the beautiful wooden one sitting on a shelf. Like wines, though, everybody has a favorite, and a strong personal opinion.
