DeWALT continues to expand its options of 20V MAX* Lithium Ion tools with this new 7¼-in. Sliding Miter Saw (Model DCS361). For bevel-cutting, the saw tilts left from -3˚ to 48˚. Ten positive stops around the saw’s stainless-steel miter detent plate help you lock in miter cuts. Its cutting capacities are 3-1/2-in. maximum vertical against the fence, 3-5/8-in. crown in the nested position, or crosscutting a 2×8 laid flat. The DCS361 spins at 3,750 rpm and makes, on average, 183 cuts across 2×4 pine or 275 cuts through 3-1/4-in. pine base molding on a single charge of a 4.0 amp-hour battery. With battery installed, the saw weighs 31.6 lbs. An integrated XPS™ blade light casts a shadow showing exactly where the blade will cut the wood.
Other features of the saw include an easy-to-engage cam lock lever, rubber feet, a high visibility scale, adjustable bevel overrides and a 40-tooth carbide-tipped blade. A dust bag and hold-down clamp come standard, too.
This new miter saw is available “bare” (battery and charger sold separately) as Model DCS361B for about $319 or as a kit (Model DSC361M1) for $399.
