About a year ago my daughter asked me to make a Captain’s bed for her and her husband. After about two months of designing I got final approval. I worked evenings and weekends (I still work full time at another job) it was finally completed and delivered on Father’s Day weekend in Phoenix, about an eight hour drive. It is constructed of Red Oak with a cherry stain and Wipe-On-Poly, the drawers are Baltic Birch with MDF for the drawer frames and other support pieces that cannot be seen when assembled. It breaks down into four pieces, Headboard, Footboard and 2 Drawer Boxes for moving.
