The BORA Saw Plate and WTX Clamp Edge Saw Guide from Affinity Tool Works work together to create a circular saw guide system that’s less expensive than other options yet delivers precise, consistent straight-line cuts without guiding the saw by eye. It also eliminates the chances of binding or stalling the blade. The BORA Saw Plate ($29) fits any left- or right-handed circular saw and connects to the saw’s base at three points for added stability.
While the Saw Plate’s adjustable channel is designed to work with any straightedge guide up to 3-1/2-in. wide, Affinity offers self-clamping WTX Clamp Edge Saw Guides that fit the BORA Saw Plate. Available in 24-, 36-, 50- and 100-in. lengths ($40 to $99), the Guides are made of rigid aluminum extrusion for no flex and superior strength. Their integrated clamps engage with a large push handle. Extension pieces are also available.
