Here are pictures of several band saw boxes that I’ve done over the years. All of them have black walnut tops from a tree that was in my back yard. The underlying wood is either cherry or oak that I had on hand.
I’ve always enjoyed the scroll work on metal engravings and old carvings, so this was my way of combining my woodworking hobby with that art form. I also liked that the backs of them didn’t have to be square or level.
