Amana Tool’s new solid carbide 2D/3D Carving Tapered Ball Nose Router Bit Set (#AMS-142) is designed to work well for 2D and 3D contouring, profiling, modeling and patternmaking, such as in CNC profiling and carving machines, dimensional signage, and 3D millwork. The bits are coated with zirconium nitride for precise work in wood, plastic, aluminum and other materials. The coating also provides wear-resistance and increased micro-tool hardness, while the mirror finish polished flutes allow for easy chip removal and help prevent chip re-welding. Included in the set are a 1/16″ diameter bit (item 46282), a 1/8″ diameter bit (item 46284) and a 1/4″ diameter bit (item 46294). The bit set is priced at $133.65.
