Adding Angles to Your Miter Gauge

I own a Rockler miter gauge and from time to time, I need an angle different from the 1.5 degree increments. By simply using standard 1/2 inch washer and placing it along the gauge, as shown in the diagram, any angle can be obtained. The washer thickness must be at least .080 thick. Be sure to tighten the handle enough to prevent movement.
