I keep my lumber in a shed. I plan on using my garage to do all of my cutting. I fire up the wood furnace on cold days. If I bring the wood into the house cut to size for my project, let the wood adjust to the house temperature and humidity, can I expect the furniture pieces to fit tight?
Tim Inman: Yes, but only on the day you fit them.
John Swanson: Normally, wood should be acclimated to temperatures and humidity that it will remain in for at least a week before cutting.
