Recently, in our Woodworker’s Journal eZine, WJ editor Rob Johnstone asked readers “which room of your home has received the most attention in your shop?” We received many, many missives from readers sharing with us the lists of projects they’d built for their homes (living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms — shops …) — and some of them, like those featured here, sent pictures.
In answering the “which room” question, Bob Pillmore responded, “I would have to say my wife’s office. The desk is Texas mesquite with maple trim. Most of the mesquite was salvaged from my yard when we built the house. The credenza, cabinets and file cabinet are maple with mesquite trim. The tops of the credenza and file cabinet are mesquite flooring, sanded smooth and refinished to get rid of the grooves. The file cabinet is a wood housing over a steel lateral file cabinet.”
Roger Landry was more succinct in his email. He wrote, “Which room wins? Bedroom.” — and then sent these pictures.
