The Route-a-Pocket™ from White Oak Tools is an all-metal jig used in conjunction with a plunge router and a power drill to reduce featheredges and tearout in pocket hole joinery. The Route-a-Pocket system uses a carbide-tipped router bit to machine a low 10 degree screw pocket and a 9/64″ diameter drill bit to size a through pilot hole for #7 pocket-hole screws. It features tool-free adjustments for screw penetration as well as position of screw relative to the centerline of the joint. The Route-a-Pocket works with workpieces in thicknesses ranging from 1/2″ to 1-1/2″ and is priced at $89.95.
