DeWALT has focused on three primary criteria when designing the new DWFP55130 Quiet Trim Compressor: performance, size/weight and noise level. To the first goal, the compressor features a 2.5-gallon tank that delivers 3.0 standard cubic feet of air per minute (SCFM) at 90 psi. The machine is rated to 200 maximum psi. Its oil-free pump, which requires no maintenance, achieves 1.1 max horsepower. It draws 12 amps during use, to provide easy startups without tripping a breaker. Double hose couplings allow two nailers to be used at once. In terms of size and weight, the DWFP55130 measures 14 in. wide and weighs just 36 lbs., for easier transport. A roll cage protects the compressor’s control panel and other vital internal components while also providing a convenient carry handle. The cage also enables the compressor to be operated either horizontally or vertically, for added convenience. A cord wrap is molded into the shroud, and a ball drain valve offers quick, thorough tank draining. As far as noise is concerned, this machine operates at 71.5dB, to help keep disturbance to a minimum during use. DeWALT’s DWFP55130 Quiet Trim Compressor is available now and has a street price of $249.
